Logan detectives investigating a multi-million dollar fire at a Rochedale South shopping centre in September have charged a man with arson.
A 26-year-old Calamvale man has been charged following a protracted police investigation, code named Operation Papa Yellowstone, after fire broke out shortly after midnight on September 18 at a shopping centre on Underwood Road in which 14 business sustained significant damage.
The man has also been charge with an additional count of arson and attempted fraud in relation to the alleged arson of a motor vehicle at Beenleigh on August 18.
A 21-year-old Calamvale woman, was also charged with arson and attempted fraud in relation to the vehicle, as well as possession of dangerous drugs and possession of a drug utensil.
Both are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court this morning.
Police investigations into the alleged arson at the shopping centre continue.
