A central Queensland woman has been charged after she allegedly rammed her car into a police vehicle “multiple times” in a shopping centre.
Just after 8pm on Wednesday, Rockhampton police pulled over a yellow sedan, parked outside a plaza in Allenstown.
As police got out of their unmarked car, the Ford Falcon reversed, hitting the vehicle and also the foot of one of the female officers.
The Falcon drove forward and back again at speed, allegedly causing “significant damage” to the police car before the driver fled.
A 43-year-old Cooee Bay resident was later charged with serious assault police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, possessing anything used in a crime, and failing to dispose of a syringe.
She is expected to front Gladstone Magistrates Court on Friday, and her car has been seized.
