Sky News host Paul Murray says the proposal to track juvenile criminals through GPS is one the Queensland government had rejected two years ago and is now trying to reintroduce.
“Deputy Premier Steven Miles is now only talking about a GPS tracking system for known young offenders but here’s the kicker: this system was first suggested and rejected by the Queensland government two years ago,” he said.
“So these people ignored the problem and were rewarded by the public, with the same representatives who continued to ignore the problem and now they pretend the solution was one they could have done two years ago.”
